    Kylie Hansen

    Founder & Director
    Kylie has 15-years experience across government, corporate, not for profit and social finance sectors and leads Impact Seed's Impact Management practice. She co founded Impact Seed in 2015 as WA’s only social enterprise and impact investment capacity builder and has worked extensively across community, corporate, social finance and government sectors. Kylie has led numerous high profile impact management projects, including the whole-of-sector outcomes measurement framework with the WA Government in partnership with WACOSS; the ongoing review for Woodside’s $20M Development Fund, as well as the Impact Management System for the $500M Cerberus Frontier Markets Impact Fund. She also supported Impact Seed's own B-Lab B-Corp certification process. Prior to founding Impact Seed, Kylie was Founding CEO and Director of import/export startup venture Empowering Communities, which focused on international development within and into Cambodia through a B2B and B2C retail social enterprise model. Under Kylie’s leadership, Empowering Communities established supply agreements across several SE Asian countries for raw materials with several SE Asian suppliers, and developed distribution agreements into Australia, the US and Europe. Empowering Communities also reported to funders and investors internationally, including Lonely Planet, AusAID and other small European offices. Kylie holds qualifications including: Juris Doctor (post-graduate law) (UWA,2014-2018); Bachelor of Commerce (Human Resource Management/Management) (UWA); Bachelor of Arts (Political Science and International Relations) (UWA); Bachelor of Community Development (Murdoch); Graduate Certificate in Project Management (University of South Australia); Graduate Certificate in Social Impact (Centre for Social Impact, UWA,2012)

    We’re in the business of systems-change finance and entrepreneurship.. network connectors and builders, and developers of Australia’s first place-based impact investment fund.

    We have three key areas of work – Impact Venture Consulting, Impact Measurement and Impact Investment Management; and work with corporates, not-for-profits, foundations, entrepreneurs and investors.
